| The PittCon2005 poster describes the New Ag-Nitrate Test
Kits (NTK) and their ease of use. The Ag-NTK are specifically designed for
Agriculture to facilitate on-site testing in the field for soil nitrate
content, plant nitrate content and water nitrate levels. Ag-NTK
need only a very small sample size - just one drop of sample. And all
reagents are pre-packaged - so no measuring and no advanced skills are
required to do the nitrate test in the field or barn or anywhere...
Ag-NTK feature rapid test time of only 5 min for the nitrate reduction step and
another 5 min for color develop... then the user is ready to read the
nitrate content of the sample using the simplified color chart provided in
the kit. An internal nitrate standard is also provided so the user can easily
compare their results to a standard of know nitrate content. Thus, you can easily determine nitrate content of soils, plants, and
water right in the field with confidence and get accurate results.
NECi Ag-NTK have been tested by Ag consultants and USDA
cooperative extension agents and were developed with funding from USDA Small
Business Innovation Research grants.
