NECi Expands Full Time Staff
Starting February 1, 2004,
NECi is expanding its full time staff to four with the addition of Michael
Campbell. Hired as a part time employee in September of 2002, Michael has
been involved in most aspects in the development of NECi’s new Yeast Nitrate
Reductase – Superior Stock – working under the direction of President Bill
Campbell, PhD, and Gui Barbier, PhD. Starting from gene insertion, through
screening and production, all the way to purification, Michael has
undertaken to understand the entire process of protein production. Now,
with his hiring full time as a sales associate he can help you with all of
your nitrate reductase applications.
Michael is a graduate of Michigan
Technological University in Houghton, MI, with a B.S. in Chemical
Engineering and a B.S. in Business Management. After his graduation in May
2000, Michael spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso
teaching Math and Science to Burkinabe high school students. After he
finished his Peace Corps service – deciding that Africa was too hot – he
returned to the Upper Peninsula with his wife to live and study.
